Cancer causing chemicals are in seemingly everything anymore. It really freaks me out. But what freaks me out even more is how many people are simply unaware of these dangers. It is up to us to spread the word.
In the past I have shared a few posts on this subject, including:
- 50 Places Formaldehyde is Hiding In Your Home
- Is Your Perfume Poisoning You?
- Why Certain Smells Trigger Headaches
- Why You Should Go “Paraben Free”
But I am excited to support a company that is doing HUGE things to spread the word about all of these harmful cancer causing chemicals!
In their most recent research, they found that the majority of the largest cosmetics companies are all using carcinogens in their body care and cosmetic products.
So what about Proctor & Gamble?
Procter & Gamble markets its Pantene Beautiful Lengths Finishing Crème with a pink ribbon – even though the product contains DMDM hydantoin — a chemical that releases formaldehyde to preserve the product. Campaign for Safe Cosmetics
But that's not all. They also found many more cancer causing chemicals in additional products including:
- Butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA)
- Formaldehyde releasing preservatives like DMDM hydantoin, Imidazolidinyl urea, Polyoxymethylene urea and Quaternium-15
Do My Proctor & Gamble Products Contain Carcinogens?
Want to know if the products in your cabinet contain these cancer causing chemicals?
What Can You Do? Speak Up and Let Your Voice Be Heard!
You can make a difference. Take a moment of your time and sign a letter to the CEO of Proctor & Gamble asking him to please stop making products with cancer causing chemicals.
I hope you joined me and signed the letter. Aside from tossing your P&G products and avoiding those containing carcinogens, it feels good to be able to do more and really let your voice be heard.
