But if you are looking for a natural way to freshen your breath, there’s a quick, cheap and easy way to make some DIY breath spray.
You only need two ingredients to make it, too if you can believe that.
Here is all you will need to make this homemade breath freshener.
DIY Breath Spray Ingredients:
Spearmint essential oil has a softer flavor than peppermint.
IMPORTANT: You must use essential oils that are safe for internal use not just random essential oils from Walmart or Amazon. I have linked to the dietary essential oils that I use in this article.
How to Make DIY Breath Spray
You will have to have a small spray bottle, about 5 or 10 mL, for carrying your DIY breath spray. I used these ones. Use about 1 drop of your essential oil into the bottle for every 5 mL of water you plan to fill it with.
Benefits of Using DIY Breath Spray
Why should you use DIY breath spray rather than chewing breath mints or chewing gum, or using a store-bought breath spray? There are several benefits. These mass-market products typically have many added ingredients, including artificial colors, artificial sweeteners, and preservatives. You don’t really need any of those extra ingredients.
Using essential oils is not only natural, but it gives you a product that you have full control over as well. You can always adjust the DIY breath spray recipe with different concentrations and types of essential oils for your personal taste.
What might be refreshing for one person may be too strong for another person. What may be too strong for one person may not be refreshing enough for another.
Having full control is not only better for your health, but it actually costs you less in the long run and gives you a customized product just for you!
