Favorite Fall Essential Oils

Cinnamon essential oil, spices and fall diffuser blends

Some of my favorite fall essential oils are:

Cinnamon Essential Oil just makes me happy. (Maybe because desserts made with Cinnamon happen to be my all time favorite..) This spicy, but sweet essential oil is a must have in my holiday diffuser recipes.

Clove Essential Oil is distilled from clove trees including the flower buds, stems and leaves. It has a spicy scent and is a a great addition to your fall diffuser blends.

Sweet Orange Essential Oil blends very well with spicy essential oils like cinnamon and clove. Combining them together creates a perfect fall diffuser blend.

Grapefruit Essential Oil is another citrus oil that also blends well with spicy essential oils. It also blends well with your woodsy essential oils.

Woodsy Essential Oils for your Fall Diffuser Blends

fir needle essential oil for fall diffuser blends

Woodsy essential oils are super popular for men's essential oil recipes like these cologne recipes and men's diy aftershave recipes.

In our Autumn Woods diffuser recipe, you have the option of Fir or Pine Essential Oils. Feel free to use what you have on hand or can easily obtain.

There are several different types of Fir Essential Oil including:

Fir Needle Essential Oil smells exactly like you crushed up fir needles and took a big whiff. It immediately transports you into the forest surrounded by tall fir trees. I chose to use this fir oil in my diffuser blends.

Frasier Fir Essential Oil will transport you back to Christmas with your family. Think of the smell of a fresh cut Christmas tree.

Balsam Fir Oil is distilled from the needles and the twigs of the balsam fir tree. The result is more of a grassy aroma that blends well into your fall essential oil mixes.

Douglas Fir Essential Oil has underlying soft and citrus like notes blended with the woodsy Christmas tree scent. This is another great addition to your fall diffuser blends.

White Fir Essential Oil is another woodsy oil that makes me think of Christmas. Not only does it smell amazing, but it can help improve your mood and energize you as well!

Feel free to use whatever fir oil that you have on hand. I personally used Fir Needle in my recipe. It smells so good!

Pine Needle Essential Oil: Have you ever walked through a pine forest? You are just enveloped by the aroma of Pine. Pine Needle Essential Oil is extracted from the pine needles on the branches and is a wonderful woodsy essential oil for your fall diffuser blends.

Pumpkin Essential Oil for your Fall Diffuser Blends

Wouldn't it be nice if there was actually a pumpkin essential oil and it smelled like pumpkin pie?

Unfortunately this doesn't exist.

But today I will share a fun pumpkin spice essential oil blend that comes close.

It's more of an “Almost” Pumpkin spice.

There are many recipes you can find online, like this one from Mountain Rose Herbs, that try to match the pumpkin spice smell.

Unfortunately, I am not a fan of nutmeg or ginger essential oil and a lot of these recipes call for these two oils.

You may just love this Pumpkin Spice Room Spray Recipe I posted recently.
