Hi Linda! Rosemary essential oil is steam distilled from the leaves and flowers of the plant. This creates a light, fresh fragrance like fresh rosemary. Rosemary CO2 extract uses a supercritical CO2 extraction method that produces a dark brown, viscous liquid with a strong aroma. Rosemary CO2 extract has 10X the antioxidant properties of vitamin E. You definitely want to use a very low percentage when working with Rosemary CO2 extract.

Hope that helps!
