Pomegranate Seed Oil, Party Face POM, and Pomegranate Sterols all have amazing benefits and can all be used as powerhouse ingredients in your skin rejuvenation routine. 

We all know pomegranates as a staple in our kitchens and we’re pretty familiar with the health benefits we can reap from eating them. But, this super fruit can do so much more!

Argan Oil is an excellent choice due to its low likelihood of clogging pores and its ability to sink deep into skin to help hydrate and nourish it. It is also anti-aging and can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Another oil to try would be Abyssinian Oil; it is also not likely to clog pores and helps protect skin from environmental damage. It does this all while hydrating and plumping skin to help reduce signs of aging!

If you want to stick with slower absorbing oils with low comedogenic ratings, you could try sunflower oil or oat kernel oil.

How to Formulate with Party Face POM

I purchased my Party Face POM from Formulator Sample Shop here. They recommend the following:

INCI Name: Water & Punica Granatum Extract & Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Flower Extract
Suggested Use Levels: 2-5%
Suggested Applications: Skin Lifting/Tightening, Smoothing & Anti-aging
pH: 6-8%
Formulating Guidelines: Recommend adding this ingredient during the cooling phase of the formulation process.

This product is water soluble and can be added to water based products like toners as well as lotions and creams when added to the cooling phase.

FSS Party Face POM is already preserved with Leucidal Liquid, so keep this in mind when formulating. You may be able to reduce the amount of preservative a little bit when using Party Face POM because of this.

Pomegranate Sterols Anti-aging Skincare Ingredient

Pomegranate Sterols are another less commonly known ingredient that is wonderful for your skin!

They are formed by extracting sterols from pomegranates.

This is a natural ingredient with a similar texture to vaseline that can be used to replace conventional ingredients like petrolatum or lanolin in skincare formulations.

Pomegranate Sterols Benefits for Skin

This ingredient has a thick, creamy texture similar to that of Vaseline. It is an intense moisturizer that helps seal in hydration and prevents moisture loss. 

This ingredient also has antioxidant properties that help protect skin from environmental factors that cause damage, such as sun damage, and repairs your skin’s barrier so that your skin stays happy and healthy!

Pomegranate sterols can heal dry skin and intensely moisturize to reduce skin irritation caused by chronic dryness.

I am super excited about incorporating pomegranate sterols into some upcoming formulas! I can't wait to experience the intense moisturizing properties of this ingredient, especially going into fall and winter!

How to Formulate with Pomegranate Sterols

I also purchased my Pomegranate Sterols from Formulator Sample Shop here. They recommend the following:

INCI Name: Punica Granatum Sterols
Suggested Use Levels: 0.5 – 5.0%
Suggested Applications: Improved Barrier Function, Moisturization
Formulating Guidelines: Recommend adding this ingredient at the recommended usage rate.

This product is oil soluble and should be added to the oil phase of your skincare formulations. It can be heated up to 80C to help disperse it.

Pomegranate sterols can be pretty thick and sticky, but PLEASE don't let this deter you from using this powerful moisturizer in your creams and lotions.
