My skin has been crazy dry the last few months, so this morning I decided to whip up a few remedies for this. I pulled out a few of my favorite body butter recipes and got busy.

I started with the Wellness Mama’s Organic Homemade Lotion recipe (find below) using almond oil, coconut oil, beeswax and cocoa butter. This recipe is super easy. The longest part was just waiting for the beeswax and cocoa butter to melt.

The results looks more like a balm than a lotion, but it absorbs really well.

Then I moved on to Mommypotamus’ recipe for Mint Chocolate Whipped Body Butter. Sounds like something you can eat… At least my daughter thought so. She kept asking for a bite. This recipe is a bit more involved than the previous and dirtied a lot more dishes, but the end result was pretty sweet.

Body butter is so fun to make and the end result is truly decadent.
